Job Requirements Company Description Towson Sports Medicine/University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a full time certified athletic trainer in our sports medicine outreach setting. If you are not looking for full time then we will consider part time or PRN as well! Towson Sports medicine is partnered with secondary schools in Baltimore County to provide athletic training services. Job Description General Summary Deliver athletic training services through evaluation of patient needs, goal determination, and development of treatment plans according to the principles and practices of athletic training. Principal Responsibilities and Tasks The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified. Performs direct athletic training services to patients in accordance with generally accepted athletic training standards, State of Maryland Athletic Training Practice Act, code of ethics, and departmental procedures. Records patient evaluations, re-evaluations and care provided in the medical record, in accordance with departmental documentation standards. Participates in performance improvement activities and suggests areas for improvement to colleagues in a tactful and considerate manner. Proposes performance improvement topics and alternate treatment techniques to improve athletic training services. Assumes responsibility to resolve or report clinical and operational issues to department leadership for resolution, in order to assure high quality care, and efficient departmental operations. Demonstrates interdisciplinary, safe, patient-centered care and delivers excellent customer service. Work Experience Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Maryland Valid Evaluation & Treatment Protocol Current ACLS or BCLS certification Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
Compensation Pay Range:
$23.54 -$34.95 Other Compensation (if applicable): Shift Differentials
