Job Description
Job Requirements Towson Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated and skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate will provide expert care in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. This role requires a proactive approach to athlete health and safety, working closely with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize performance and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate athletic injuries and conditions promptly and accurately.
Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
Provide immediate care and emergency treatment for sports-related injuries.
Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Educate athletes, coaches, and staff on injury prevention, conditioning, and proper techniques.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of treatments, progress, and outcomes.
Stay current with the latest research and best practices in athletic training and sports medicine.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as an Athletic Trainer.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and sports medicine principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed on a PRN basis.

Responsibilities:

Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, progress, and outcomes
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in sports medicine and athletic training
