The specialists at the Fairview Sports Medicine Clinic in Minneapolis, MN include team physicians, certified athletic trainers, and physical therapists. We know sports injuries come in all shapes and sizes, and we are experts in the full range of chronic and acute problems related to living an active lifestyle. We specialize in treating athletes of any caliber and returning them to the game as quickly and safely as possible. We focus on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, as well as injury prevention. We are hiring our next Athletic Trainer, whom would be working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in a specialized musculoskeletal clinic. This individual is responsible for safe and effective direct delivery of patient care including triage and coordination of care ranging from patient evaluation, care delivery, reassessment, and discharge planning in collaboration with the physician. Care delivery responsibilities include and are not limited to vitals collection, suture removal, wound care, casting, bracing, and instruction in self-care and home exercise programs.

40 hours a week, full time, mainly Monday-Friday with some weekends, Day/Evening shifts Generous Benefits What will you do as an Athletic Trainer? Pre-appointment planning including chart review, imaging ordering per standing orders, and communication with the patient. Take vitals, collect detailed medical histories, document findings, and present findings to the physician. Prepare supplies and/or medications, assisting in, and documentation of procedures. Post-appointment responsibilities including but not limited to patient and/or family education, facilitating correct referrals and follow-up care, and at home exercise program education as directed by the physician. Communication with patients including triage of patients over the phone, scheduling of patients as appropriate with working in of acute injuries, and Inbasket and MyChart management. Required Qualifications
B.S./B.A.
in athletic training or
M.A./M.S.
in athletic training less than 1 year experience in an athletic training setting Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) - current Athletic Trainer Cert
NATA/BOC
Minnesota Athletic Trainer License Qualifications:
$29.29- $41.35 Hourly
