We are seeking a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer to work directly with a surgeon in our North Raleigh office. We are seeking an Athletic Trainer looking to take their skills to the next level and embark on an exciting new career path. If you are motivated to work alongside an orthopedic surgeon in both the operating room and clinical setting, look no further. As an Athletic Trainer in orthopedic surgery, you will have the unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in patient care by assisting our surgeons during procedures in the operating room. Your expertise in sports medicine and injury rehabilitation will be invaluable while working closely with patients, providing pre- and post-operative care. Primary clinic duties and responsibilities will include: Assist providers in providing quality medical care. Meet and greet patients while escorting to exam room. Complete triage process and ensure all information is documented in EHR, Epic. Apply and remove casts as ordered by provider (Training provided). Fit patient with DME as ordered by provider and educate patient on use (Training provided). Support medical assistants as needed with patient care. Follow all state and federal regulations including HIPAA and OSHA. In the operating room (training provided): Promotes a safe surgical environment and patient experience. Maintains Sterile and Aseptic environment by properly maintaining standards of practice or sterilization of instruments and implants. Prepare patients for surgery. Anticipates needs of surgeon during the intraoperative phase. Maintains regulatory credentialing, and privileging requirements.
Qualifications:
Certified Athletic Trainer credential with BOC certification and state licensure Obtain Orthopedic Technologist Certification with 12 months of hire.
