Job Description

Overview Join our educational team as a High School Athletic Trainer at Roncalli Catholic, where you will play a vital role in promoting student-athlete health, safety, and performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with athletes, coaches, and medical professionals to prevent, assess, and rehabilitate sports-related injuries. Your expertise will help foster a safe and supportive environment that encourages athletic excellence and personal growth. Duties Provide immediate injury assessment and first aid during athletic events and practices Develop and implement injury prevention programs tailored to student-athletes' needs Design and supervise rehabilitation plans to facilitate safe return-to-play after injuries Educate athletes, coaches, and staff on proper body mechanics, nutrition, and injury prevention strategies Maintain detailed medical records, injury reports, and treatment documentation in compliance with NSAA and school policies Collaborate with healthcare providers for referrals, follow-up care, and ongoing health coaching Requirements Proven knowledge of sports medicine principles. Experience in health coaching, personal training, or related fields is highly desirable Strong understanding of body mechanics, nutrition, and injury prevention techniques Ability to communicate complex medical information clearly to students and staff Certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) or equivalent credential required; CPR/AED certification Familiarity with high school athletic programs and the unique needs of adolescent athletes Passion for promoting health, safety, and athletic achievement in a school environment
Pay:
From $40,000.00 per year
