- Full-time About the Role TheProProject's Center of Excellence (COE) is hiring a full-time Athletic Trainer to lead sports medicine care for our middle school and high school-age elite soccer players in Purchase, NY.
This is a Monday-Friday role (8:00 AM-3:30 PM) based primarily on-site at our New York location, with occasional travel to our New England location. You'll work in a purpose-built, high-performing soccer training environment alongside our coaching and academic staff to keep our athletes healthy, performing, and developing. You will have the opportunity to influence and help build out our AT and Sports Medicine program at our fast-growing NY location from the ground up. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field Board of Certification (BOC) for the Athletic Trainer credential required Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the state of New York Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or performance-based setting preferred Proficient in manual therapy and IASTM techniques Strong understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy and exercise science Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team CPR/AED certification required Preferred Qualifications (Highly Desirable) Experience with Strength & Conditioning programming and implementation, or a background working closely with S&C staff/coaches Exposure to or interest in integrating performance enhancement and Strength & Conditioning methods into athlete rehabilitation Key Responsibilities Coordinates medical care of student-athletes consistent with the Center of Excellence Athletic Training Guidelines. Care includes the prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and return to play decisions of injuries and/or illnesses. Makes independent and appropriate decisions regarding therapeutic modalities, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy treatments and return to play. Perform manual therapy techniques to address soft tissue dysfunction and improve musculoskeletal function. Provide instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) and related modalities. Design and implement individualized exercise rehabilitation programs. Conduct assessments to identify musculoskeletal deficiencies, range of motion limitations, and other performance-limiting factors. Implements measures to prevent injuries and prepare athletes for practice and competition, including taping, bracing, therapeutic exercise, movement screens, and wearable technology. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress notes. Educate athletes on injury prevention, proper movement mechanics, and performance optimization strategies. Communicates professionally and effectively across, but not limited to, student-athletes, athletic training staff, physicians, dietitian, mental health clinicians, and coaches. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical and training environment. Stay current with emerging techniques, continuing education, and licensure requirements. Compensation & Benefits $55,000
