Schedule:
Full-time, 50-60 hours per week
Position Summary:
We are seeking a certified Athletic Trainer to join our Occupational Health team. This role focuses on injury prevention, early intervention, ergonomic assessments, employee wellness, and return-to-work programs within an industrial and occupational setting. The Athletic Trainer will work closely with employees, supervisors, safety personnel, and healthcare providers to promote a safe and healthy workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site injury prevention and early intervention services for employees. Conduct musculoskeletal assessments and evaluate workplace injuries. Develop and implement injury prevention and wellness programs. Perform ergonomic evaluations and recommend workplace modifications. Assist with return-to-work and transitional duty programs. Educate employees on stretching, body mechanics, injury prevention, and wellness initiatives. Document employee encounters and maintain accurate records in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Collaborate with occupational health providers, safety teams, and management to reduce workplace injuries. Monitor trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in workplace health and safety. Respond to workplace injuries and provide first aid within the scope of practice. Participate in safety meetings, audits, and health promotion events as needed.
Qualifications Required:
Active certification through the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers. Current Athletic Trainer licensure or eligibility to practice in the applicable state. Current CPR/AED certification. Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced occupational health environment. Preferred Experience in occupational health, industrial settings, manufacturing, or workplace injury prevention. Knowledge of ergonomics and workers' compensation processes. Experience with return-to-work programs and employee wellness initiatives.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout a worksite for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
