Villanova University, an NCAA Division I institution with 24 intercollegiate athletic teams, is seeking a purpose-driven, service-oriented, and proactive individual to collaboratively engage with an integrated cohort of professionals focused on enhancing student-athlete Health and Performance outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all aspects of healthcare delivery to varsity student-athletes participating in Women's Lacrosse/Women's Rowing under the license of our Team Physician and supervision of the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Health and Performance, Assistant Director(s) of Sports Medicine, and Associate Athletic Trainer(s). Primary sport assignments are subject to change based on applicant pool. Duties and Responsibilities:
Medical Services Responsible for the coordination and supervision of healthcare for Villanova's Division I varsity athletic programs (as assigned; including, but not limited to primary sport(s) assignments). Responsible for all phases of student-athlete healthcare. Design and implement prevention and early intervention programs for sport programs and student-athletes. Design and implement treatment and rehabilitation programs for time-loss and surgical cases. Serve as a liaison between Sports Medicine, Sports Performance, Physical Therapy, Sports Psychology, and Nutrition staff regarding student-athlete case management. Serve as liaison with the Student Health Center and outside medical practices associated with the care of varsity student-athletes. Responsible for electronic medical documentation for all student-athletes. Assist with the daily operation and maintenance of the athletic training facility. Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned by Senior Associate AD for Health & Performance, Assistant Director of Sports Medicine, and Associate Athletic Trainers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education :
Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field is required; Master's degree is preferred. BOC Certification is required. Pennsylvania State License (or eligible) is required. CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification is required
Specific Job Knowledge:
Extensive clinical experience including… Risk reduction, wellness, and health literacy Assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis Critical incident management Therapeutic intervention Health care administration and professional responsibility Must have working knowledge of health care insurance issues
Minimum Work Experience:
Two to three years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer Must have experience with post-surgical rehabilitation Experience in the college/university setting is preferred• Experience with contact/collision sports is preferred

Salary Posting Information:
This position falls within salaried grade 13 and the range is $58,800-$67,700. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
