Job Description

Athletic Trainer Job Summary Join our team and participate in our mission to deliver accessible, high-quality, affordable, and compassionate healthcare. Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is an non-profit healthcare system serving 10 counties in northeastern South Dakota and west-central Minnesota. Our team at Prairie Lakes makes a difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones. This full-time position will provide outreach and clinical athletic training services to local community school practices and sporting events, including coverage for Watertown Shamrocks Hockey.
Other responsibilities include:
Assess injuries and provide immediate care when needed Will be involved in the rehabilitation and reconditioning of injuries, along with administrating health improvement programs within the ATC scope of practice or under the direction of a referring physician or physical therapist. This position requires variable hours including weekends and requires someone who is flexible to meet staffing needs. Current South Dakota State Athletic Training License (or license applicant status) and have obtained BOC certification. Current CPR/BLS & First Aid certification required. One or two years in athletic training for sports team setting preferred. Entry level graduates with BOC certification will be considered.
