Full-Time Athletic Trainer

Position Summary Watauga Orthopaedics is seeking a dedicated and experienced Athletic Trainer to support the health, wellness, and performance of student-athletes. The Athletic Trainer will provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and emergency care services for middle school and high school athletic programs while promoting a safe and positive athletic environment. Essential Responsibilities Provide on-site athletic training coverage for practices, games, and school-sponsored athletic events Evaluate athletic injuries and develop appropriate treatment and rehabilitation plans Coordinate care and referrals with physicians, parents, coaches, and other healthcare professionals Maintain accurate medical records and injury documentation Develop and implement injury prevention and conditioning programs Oversee concussion management protocols and return-to-play procedures Ensure compliance with state, school, and athletic association regulations Maintain athletic training facilities, equipment, and medical supplies Educate student-athletes on injury prevention, nutrition, hydration, and wellness Assist with emergency action planning and first aid response Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) Current state licensure/certification to practice as an Athletic Trainer CPR/AED and First Aid certification required Previous experience working with middle school or high school athletes preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by athletic schedules Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an independent or private school setting Strength and conditioning background is a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement benefits Paid time off and school holidays Professional development opportunities

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
