Job Summary Performs a variety of basic nursing-related and medical office tasks of average difficulty. Physical Requirements The ability to perform the duties and responsibility of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations for disabilities. Position Specific Essential Functions Greets patients in a professional, service-oriented manner, helps room patient by taking weight, vitals, temperature, respiration, blood pressure, and updating all relevant information into the patient's chart. Administers immunizations, injections, and/or oral medications in accordance with provider instructions. Completes laboratory and radiology requisitions, ensures accurate patient documentation, maintains logs and other documentation, cleans, sterilizes, and packages instruments. Prepares rooms for examinations, ensures examination rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and equipment and cleans rooms as needed. Answers phone calls from patients, providers, pharmacies, and others as needed, takes messages as appropriate. Planning and implementing a comprehensive and cohesive injury and illness prevention program with a provider. Conduct initial assessment of an athlete's injury or illness and formulating an impression of the injury or illness in order to provide emergency or continued care and referral to a provider for definitive diagnosis and treatment if applicable. Administer first aid and emergency care for acute athletic injuries and illness. Providing health care information and counseling to patients/athletes. Certification/Licensure:
