•The Strength & Conditioning Trainer is responsible for developing and maintaining strength and conditioning programs for all eight sports with the goals of improving athletic performance, reducing injuries, and promoting lifelong fitness and movement skills. This position works closely with coaches to assess athletes' needs and collaborates with sports medicine or athletic training staff when supporting injured athletes in rehabilitation. Responsibilities include designing and implementing science-based training programs, educating student-athletes on proper technique, safety, nutrition, and performance principles, conducting performance testing and data reporting, and maintaining the strength and conditioning facility while establishing policies and procedures for its safe and professional operation. This position receives general direction from the Director of Athletics and exercises no supervision.NOTE:

Safe exercise techniques, injury prevention, and proper use of strength training equipment; 3. Program design for strength, speed, agility, flexibility, and conditioning development; 4. Student-athlete development and performance improvement strategies; 5. Health, safety, and risk management procedures in athletic training environments; 6. Applicable rules, regulations, and best practices related to collegiate athletics programs; Skills in: 7. Developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs tailored to team and individual athletic performance goals; 8. Supervising and instructing student-athletes in safe and effective strength training techniques; 9. Motivating and mentoring a diverse group of student-athletes to support performance and personal development; 10. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication; 11. Collaborating with coaches, athletic staff, and colleagues to support student-athlete success; 12. Organizing training schedules, monitoring progress, and maintaining program documentation; Ability to : 13. Supervise and guide student-athletes during training sessions while promoting safety and proper technique; 14. Assess athlete performance and adjust training programs to meet individual and team needs; 15. Build positive working relationships with students, coaches, and campus personnel; 16. Follow written and verbal instructions and seek clarification when needed; 17. Operate computers and basic Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel; 18. Work effectively in a team environment while supporting the mission and goals of the athletics program; 19. Provide caring, high-quality service by creating welcoming experiences, communicating clearly and proactively, addressing needs with professionalism and empathy, and ensuring individuals are thoughtfully connected to appropriate resources.WORKING CONDITIONS
Restricted:
Sustained posture or intense attentiveness for prolonged periods. Light lifting (less than 30 lbs.), some walking, pushing, and pulling on a regular basis.Unpleasant Exposure Minor Hazard:
Moderate exposure to dust, grease, noise, inclement weather, temperature extremes, and unpleasant but not hazardous odors. Occasional exposure to risk controlled by safety precautions. Frequency or severity are limited.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related fieldExperience:
Two (2) years of strength and conditioning experienceSpecial Requirement:
Must be NSCA CSCS, or CSCCa SCCC Certified. Must maintain annual continuing education. First Aid/ CPR/ AED certification is required. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license; must be insurable and maintain insurability under the College's automobile insurance policy.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
