City View ISD Primary Purpose Provide athletic training services to student athletes under the direction of a licensed physician. Prevent, evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries while supporting the overall health and safety of students participating in athletic programs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in athletic training or related field Valid Texas Athletic Trainer License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Current certification in CPR and First Aid Knowledge of injury prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation techniques Special Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of UIL rules and regulations related to athletics Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with coaches, students, parents, and medical professionals Ability to develop and implement injury prevention program Understanding of emergency action planning and risk management Experience Preferred experience working with secondary school athletic programs Experience with RankONE software program Major Responsibilities and Duties Athletic Training Services Provide immediate care and first aid for athletic injuries during practices and competitions Evaluate athletic injuries and determine appropriate course of action Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes Maintain accurate and up to date injury and treatment records Injury Prevention Design and implement injury prevention programs including conditioning and stretching routines Monitor environmental conditions and make recommendations regarding safe participation Medical Coordination Communicate with physicians, parents, and coaching staff regarding athlete health and return to play status Assist in coordinating physical examinations and medical clearances for student athletes Maintain confidential medical records in accordance with district and legal guidelines Program Support Attend athletic practices and competitions as assigned Assist coaches with implementing safe training practices Develop and maintain emergency action plans for all athletic venues Compliance Ensure compliance with UIL, district, and state regulations related to athletic training services Follow district policies regarding student health, safety, and confidentiality Working Conditions Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting Exposure to outdoor weather conditions Evening and weekend hours required Supervisory Responsibilities None Email To A Friend Print Version Postings current as of 4/24/2026 1:59:50 AM CST.
