Provide clear communication to patients regarding self-care, prevention, and treatment techniques. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Establish and execute treatment plans based on patient evaluations and health goals. Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed to ensure effective outcomes. Can direct athletes in performance enhancement programs for fitness or injury prevention. Identify and attend to factors affecting the patient's physical and emotional comfort, ensuring sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and needs. Plan and facilitate patient discharge by providing at-home care instructions, family education, community referrals, and necessary equipment orders. Complete all required documentation according to department policies, including patient assessments, progress notes, and billing records, while ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines. Identify and support opportunities for community outreach to increase awareness of services and health education, fostering partnerships and potential referrals. Ensure the treatment area is clean and organized, maintain equipment, and adhere to safety standards. What You'll Bring Current Athletic Training certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC). Currently licensed or eligible for Athletic Trainer license issued by the state in which the teammate practices within 30 days of hire. Ability to complete American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS), which includes CPR and AED training within 30 days of hire. Bachelor's degree in athletic training from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) program.
