Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Audiologist is responsible to provide quality clinical care as part of a multidisciplinary team at the hospital and/or outpatient care centers as assigned. Demonstrates competency in evaluation, habilitative, and rehabilitative audiology services for patients. Provides clinical care activities utilizing value and evidenced based care to insure a quality culture, and to satisfy customer needs. Receives clinical review by the Rehab Regional Manager.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs assessment to determine the presence or absence of hearing disorders to support medical management Plans and conducts rehabilitative services to treat hearing disorders, including selection, orientation, and monitoring of amplification devices to maximize auditory access and function to meet functional auditory goals of the patient/family Practices family-centered care by working in partnership with caregivers and patients to encourage and empower their active participation in the care plan Completes accurate and timely documentation of services in accordance with professional and compliance standards to best reflect the patient's status and needs, support revenue cycle and facilitate communication for continuity of care Demonstrates responsible actions and initiative to positively impact patient access to care and contribute to the department's financial performance Provides education and mentoring for students, interns, residents, observers, volunteers and/or staff to support their development Develops and/or implements clinical activities which improve or expand audiology services, within the department and/or hospital system, to benefit patient care
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree Licensed to practice Audiology in the state of Florida Certification as an Audiologist by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) within 12 months of employment
Salary Range:
Minimum 37.07/hour - Maximum 59.32/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
