Job Description

Job Overview This position works 190 days per year with summers off! Join our dynamic team as an Audiologist, where you will play a vital role on the care team. You will provide diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services in CRAEA and to assist other educators in providing appropriate programming for individuals with hearing or processing concerns Responsibilities Participate as a member of a team responsible for making educational decisions for individual students through a problem-solving process. Facilitate activities to address needs of students with hearing loss or auditory processing concerns. Participate as a member of the educational team in program development and implementation of services and make specific recommendations for auditory and communication needs. Collaborate with parents, school, support personnel and relevant community agencies or professionals to ensure delivery of appropriate services, including transition services for students with hearing loss or auditory processing concerns. Collaborate with community resources to develop and maintain a high-risk registry, newborn screening, and follow-up. Coordinate hearing screening programs for preschool and school-aged children. Provide training and supervision to audiometrists for screening and other designated duties. Perform comprehensive, educationally relevant hearing evaluations. Make appropriate medical, educational, and community referrals. Requirements Master's degree in Audiology from a recognized/approved training institution. Appropriate licensure and endorsement from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners or Certificate of License in Audiology, State of Iowa Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Pay:
$51,541.20 - $89,962.80 per year
