We have a high energy, growing ENT practice with 5 offices across the triangle. Across the offices we have 13 physicians, 2 physicians assistants and 12 Audiologists.
Summary of the position:
Audiology externs will work with the Audiologists to evaluate and manage the hearing and vestibular needs of patients of all ages in a fast-paced ENT practice.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform adult and pediatric diagnostic assessments while providing coverage for ENT physicians clinic Examine vestibular disorders and provide appropriate treatment and/or recommendations (evaluation/ treatment of BPPV and recommend VNGs) Determine appropriate treatment plan including the fitting and dispensing of hearing instruments and assistive listening devices Evaluate hearing devices, perform repairs and maintenance on devices Counsel patients and their families on hearing loss and treatment plans Document patient encounters in appropriate EMR system Educate or train other medical staff on communication needs of the hearing impaired, as well as, teaching others on the topics of hearing loss.
