Audiologist

  • Per Diem Audiology Services The Audiologist
  • Per Diem will: Select, fit, and dispense hearing aids and other hearing assistive devices, as well as the assessment and follow-up services for persons with cochlear implants Provide care to patients of all age groups from pediatrics up to and including geriatrics Communicate and work closely with Medical Staff and other healthcare professionals Participate in clinical education programs and departmental program development in assigned areas Practice in accordance with professional code of ethics and New Jersey State Practice Act
Requirements:
Requires a Master's degree or Doctorate Degree, graduate of an entry level master's or doctorate program in Audiology from a college or university accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology (CAA) Complete a clinical internship of nine months of full-time professional employment under a licensed supervisor, unless in an exempt setting; ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) is preferred but not required; clinical internship applies only to applicants with a master's degree Requires a current New Jersey State license and registration in Audiology or eligibility New Jersey State Hearing Aid Dispensing license preferred but not necessary. Previous experience preferred but not necessary New graduates acceptable Requires analytic ability, use of independent judgment and sufficient interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with patients, families, students, peers and other health care professionals
