In this role, there is opportunity to: Performs special duties by developing unique skills and taking on special responsibilities to enhance the department. Demonstrates service excellence in interactions with patients, visitors, staff, peers, physicians, and other departments. Ensures test equipment is well-maintained by monitoring for malfunctions and reporting issues to the Senior Audiologist, Director, or service contractor. Administers routine Audiology tests and interprets test results for effective management. Demonstrates competence in administering at least five tests beyond the basic audiologic test battery. Provides additional hearing-aid services, including fitting, evaluation, and counseling. Contributes a minimum of two hours per year to didactic instruction for medical students or residents, or ten hours of supervision for residents or Audiology Students. Participates in at least one public hearing screening program or similar extramural public relations activity annually. Selects and fits appropriate hearing aids, evaluates their effectiveness, and provides counseling for proper use. Engages in clinical research projects as requested by the Director, handling data collection, analysis, and documentation.
