Monday•Friday | 8am•4:30pm The certified audiologists who provide Rochester Regional Health's Hearing and Balance services offer children, adults, and seniors comprehensive audiological testing, diagnosis, and treatment for hearing, inner ear, and balance conditions. Working collaboratively with our otolaryngology colleagues, our multi-disciplinary approach ensures our patients receive the most thorough care possible. SUMMARY The Audiologist is an independent healthcare provider who is responsible for providing comprehensive care to both well and ill patients. The Audiologist evaluates patients for hearing loss, balance issues or other ear-related conditions The Audiologist demonstrates an advanced level of clinical knowledge, communication and interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism and systems-based practice. He/she works with administrative, nursing and otolaryngologists, and staff to assure safe, effective, quality patient care. He/she provides recommendations, sales and fittings of hearing aids and accessories, ear molds for hearing protection, musicians and swimming.

D.(preferred) or Master's Degree in Audiology NY state Audiology license
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
NY state Hearing Aid Dispensing license preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or American Academy of Audiology (AAA) preferred Effective communication skills essential for the collaboration between practice Otolaryngologists, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician's Assistants.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify, diagnose, and manage disorders for patients of all ages for hearing, balance, and tinnitus using otoscopic examination, comprehensive audiological testing, COR and VRA, and Acoustic Immittance testing. Assess the candidacy of patients with hearing loss for hearing aids, bone anchored hearing aids and cochlear implants. Take ear mold impressions for hearing aids, ear molds and noise protection Hearing aid and accessory sales, and fittings and verifications Recommend hearing assistive technology systems (HATS)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
M•Medium Work•Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
PAY RANGE
$75,000.00•$100,000.00 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
