Job Description

Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' success in a school setting near Levittown, PA! We are seeking a skilled Audiologist with experience in educational environments to complete specialized assessments and provide expert recommendations for students with hearing differences. Your expertise will be instrumental for a young incoming kindergarten student who has a cochlear implant in one ear and normal hearing in the other. Your main responsibility will be to conduct a thorough evaluation and advise on the best type and amount of support services needed to foster a positive learning experience.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Master's or Doctorate in Audiology from an accredited institution Active state licensure and certification in Audiology School-based experience strongly preferred Proficient in evaluating children with hearing devices, including cochlear implants Knowledge of accommodations and supports for students with hearing loss Strong communication skills for collaborating with families and school personnel Ability to deliver clear, actionable recommendations in written and verbal formats
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct a comprehensive audiological evaluation for a new kindergarten student in the fall Assess the functioning and integration of the cochlear implant Collaborate with teachers of the deaf, special educators, and families Develop and present recommendations regarding the type and amount of audiology or Deaf/Hard of Hearing services the student may need Prepare thorough assessment reports for use in educational planning meetings This is an impactful opportunity to contribute your knowledge and shape academic pathways.
