Job Description

Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners by bringing your audiology expertise to a welcoming school environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated professionals ready to support students with diverse hearing needs. We are seeking an Audiologist, or a skilled teacher of the deaf, to complete an evaluation in the fall for an incoming kindergarten student. This student will enter school in fall 2026 with a cochlear implant in one ear and normal hearing in the other. Your specialized assessment and professional recommendations for the type and amount of service needed will play a critical role in their academic and social success.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure and credentials in Audiology or as a Teacher of the Deaf Experience in school-based settings preferred Familiarity with cochlear implants and pediatric audiological evaluations Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Compassionate and flexible approach in supporting young students
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct a comprehensive audiological evaluation for the specified kindergarten student Review records and collaborate with school staff and family members Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations for services and accommodations Document findings and recommendations in a timely, professional manner Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and families regarding hearing loss and assistive technology Enjoy a rewarding contract position where you can exercise your clinical skills while making a true difference.
