POSITION SUMMARY
Ark Clinical Research is seeking a licensed Audiologist on a contract basis to conduct protocol-specified hearing assessments for participants enrolled in a clinical research study. The scope of work includes an initial protocol training session and subsequent hearing screening visits. This is an ideal opportunity for an audiologist seeking flexible, per-diem research work in a professional clinical trial environment.
SCOPE OF WORK
Protocol Training (One-Time) Attend site-specific training to review study protocol, hearing assessment procedures, and documentation requirements Estimated duration: 2-5 hours Compensated at agreed contract rate Hearing Assessment Visits Conduct structured hearing history interviews with study participants per protocol Administer specified audiological tests (e.g., pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, speech discrimination, or other protocol-defined measures) Document findings accurately in source documents and/or eCRF as directed by site staff Flag clinically significant findings to the Principal Investigator per protocol-defined criteria Estimated duration per visit: 2-4 hours
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform hearing history intake and audiometric testing per protocol specifications Maintain accuracy and consistency in test administration across all study participants Complete required source documentation in compliance with GCP and site SOPs Communicate abnormal or clinically relevant findings to the PI or designee promptly Maintain confidentiality of participant health information per HIPAA requirements Attend any required retraining or protocol amendment briefings
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Doctor of Audiology (Au.

D.) or Master's-level degree in Audiology Active California Audiologist license in good standing Minimum 2 years of clinical audiology experience Proficiency in standard audiometric testing (pure tone, tympanometry, speech testing) Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred:
Prior experience in a clinical research or FDA-regulated environment Familiarity with GCP (ICH E6) principles Experience with electronic data capture (eCRF/EDC systems) Comfort working with diverse adult patient populations
