Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School-Based Audiologist for the 2026/2027 school year. Make a meaningful difference supporting students' auditory health and educational achievement in a dynamic, collaborative school setting near Elgin, SC. This full-time position ensures steady hours in an environment where your expertise truly matters.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited institution Valid and current state licensure as an Audiologist Experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, educators, and families Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized plans, and contribute to educational teams Solid organizational skills and flexibility to manage a school caseload
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological evaluations for students Interpret results and communicate findings to parents, educators, and student support staff Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations, assistive technology, and learning strategies Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to auditory needs and participate in team meetings Fit, check, and troubleshoot hearing aids and FM systems Educate school personnel and families on hearing-related issues and best practices for inclusion Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines Stay current with audiology practices and ongoing professional development
