Job Description

Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School-Based Audiologist for the 2026/2027 school year, working full time in a vibrant educational setting near West Columbia, SC. This position offers guaranteed weekly hours, and you'll be serving students across a variety of grade levels, making a difference in their academic journey and overall well-being.
Key Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program Valid state Audiologist license (or eligibility to obtain before start date) Prior experience in educational or pediatric audiology strongly preferred Proficient in hearing screenings, evaluations, and fitting/maintaining amplification devices Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Commitment to fostering student success and positive school relationships
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations and screenings for students Fit, program, and maintain hearing aids, FM/DM systems, and other assistive devices Collaborate closely with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Provide ongoing support, education, and training to school staff regarding hearing loss and hearing technology Maintain comprehensive records and reports in compliance with district and state requirements Advise on classroom acoustics and modifications to support students' accessibility needs
