GiaCare Inc. is now accepting applications for experienced, Audiologists to work alongside the federal government within the Department of Medicine and the Medical Readiness Department at Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center (formerly Fort Belvoir Community Hospital), Fort Belvoir, Virginia. About the

Schedule/Hours:
80 hours per pay period Clinic schedule based on department needs Hours scheduled between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM No overnight shifts
Requirements Education:
Doctoral or Master s degree in Audiology from an accredited institution.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (CPR)
Experience:
At least two (2) years of continuous clinical audiology experience treating both adult and pediatric patients. Experience with full pediatric age-range (birth through 17 years) within the last three (3) years is required.
Licensure/Registration:
Valid unrestricted license in at least one state, territory or commonwealth of the US.
Duties:
Perform comprehensive diagnostic audiologic evaluations. Conduct hearing conservation testing. Evaluate and program hearing aids and assistive listening devices. Support active-duty service members, military retirees, and their families. Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with severe audiology disorders, including complex and rare hearing impairments in both adults and children. Conduct differential diagnoses and manage hearing issues related to sensory, neural, sensorineural, and cognitive auditory functions. Provide consultations, mentor junior audiologists, and support clinical training. Document patient visits and procedures. Use patient records and family input to support accurate diagnosis and care planning. Collaborate with internal and external healthcare providers for complex cases. Adhere to referral policies and third-party collection procedures. Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor with staff and patients. Request supplies through the clinic ensuring adequate inventory.
