Job Description
Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Contract This contract opportunity offers the chance to provide specialized therapy and audiology services within a hospital setting. The role focuses on supporting both speech-language pathology and audiological care for patients of varying ages and medical needs.
D.) is mandatory Experience delivering therapy services in a hospital environment preferred Current and valid state licensure(s) for Speech-Language Pathologist and/or Audiologist as appropriate Strong diagnostic, evaluation, and treatment planning skills Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary clinical teams Excellent communication and patient engagement abilities
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30PM Required Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in audiology (Au.D.) is mandatory Experience delivering therapy services in a hospital environment preferred Current and valid state licensure(s) for Speech-Language Pathologist and/or Audiologist as appropriate Strong diagnostic, evaluation, and treatment planning skills Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary clinical teams Excellent communication and patient engagement abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients experiencing communication, hearing, voice, or swallowing disorders Administer and interpret audiological evaluations, including hearing tests and balance assessments Develop and modify individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and patient progress Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatment options, and strategies for improvement Accurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes as required by hospital policies This contract role offers the unique opportunity to make a significant impact on patients' health and well-being by delivering high-quality therapeutic and audiological care in a dynamic hospital environment.
