Job Description

Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' success by providing expert audiology services within K-12 educational settings. Beginning August 26th, this contract position offers a dynamic opportunity to impact learners across various grades in a supportive and collaborative environment. This is a part-time assignment at 0.5-0.7 FTE, perfect for professionals seeking meaningful work with a balanced schedule.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program Washington State audiologist license (or eligibility to obtain) Experience with pediatric populations, preferably in school or educational settings Comfortable working with students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Ability to interpret audiological data and develop individualized recommendations
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations and screenings Provide direct audiological services and consultative support to students Collaborate with IEP teams in developing goals and accommodations Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of assessments and interventions Train teachers and staff on hearing technology and classroom strategies Recommend, fit, and monitor assistive listening devices as needed Engage families and educators with resources and support to optimize student outcomes Benefits abound, including the flexibility of a part-time schedule and the ability to develop lasting connections with students and staff.
