Job Description

Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a school-based Audiologist near Federal Way, WA. This contract role, starting August 26th, offers a flexible .5-.7 FTE position working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. You'll be a valuable resource for students and educational teams, promoting access and success through expert hearing evaluations and support.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program Valid state Audiologist license Experience working with pediatric or K-12 populations, preferably in educational settings Knowledge of hearing screening equipment and audiological assessments for school-age children Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, school nurses, and special education staff Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Comfortable providing services across multiple grade levels
Responsibilities:
Perform hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological evaluations for K-12 students Interpret results and make recommendations using evidence-based practices Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to hearing Consult with staff and families to provide guidance on hearing loss, communication strategies, and use of assistive devices Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed Maintain detailed documentation and participate in meetings with educational teams Offer in-services and training to staff regarding audiological equipment or hearing health This flexible contract role allows you to make an impact across a wide range of grade levels while collaborating with dedicated professionals.
