Job Description

Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role providing essential audiology services to students ranging from kindergarten through twelfth grade. This unique opportunity, based near Lakewood, WA, begins on August 26th and offers a flexible part-time schedule, ranging between .5 and .7 FTE, to fit your availability and lifestyle.
Key Qualifications:
Valid state licensure as an Audiologist Experience working in a K-12 educational setting (preferred) Strong knowledge of hearing screening protocols and audiological assessment tools Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular hearing screenings and comprehensive auditory assessments for students Develop and implement individualized hearing intervention plans as needed Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding student hearing needs and accommodations Fit, maintain, and troubleshoot amplification devices, including hearing aids and FM/DM systems Prepare clear, concise reports summarizing findings and recommendations Provide ongoing training and support to school staff about hearing loss, equipment use, and classroom modifications Stay informed about the latest developments in audiology, particularly as they pertain to school-age populations
