Job Description

Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential audiology services for students in a supportive educational setting near Tacoma, WA. This position is perfect for a dedicated audiologist passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young adults during the upcoming 26/27 school year.
Key Qualifications:
Active Audiologist license with ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification required Proven experience working with school-aged children, preferably within an educational environment Strong understanding of hearing assessments, auditory processing, and fitting of assistive devices Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, staff, and families Ability to work independently and manage a caseload across multiple days each week
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations and screenings for students as identified or referred Provide recommendations and assist in the fitting/management of hearing aids and assistive listening devices Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students' auditory and academic needs Develop, document, and implement individualized intervention plans Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and families regarding hearing health and accommodations Uphold compliance with state and federal guidelines related to audiology services in schools Enjoy the flexibility of a 3-4 day work week while making a meaningful impact in the lives of students who need your expertise.
