Job Description

Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role as a school-based Audiologist, making a real impact on the lives of K-12 students. This contract opportunity near Tacoma, WA begins August 26 and offers a flexible schedule with a workload of .5-.7 FTE, ideal for those seeking meaningful work/life balance within an educational setting. In this position, you'll utilize your expertise to help students reach their full potential by supporting their auditory needs and ensuring access to learning opportunities. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals, contributing your skills to foster an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid state licensure or eligibility as an Audiologist. Experience working with K-12 school-age populations preferred. Familiarity with hearing screenings, auditory processing assessments, and assistive technology. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students. Knowledge of IEP processes and legal requirements in educational audiology.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct hearing evaluations and provide comprehensive audiological services for students. Consult with school staff regarding accommodations, hearing technology, and supportive strategies. Participate in IEP meetings, offering data and recommendations to inform educational planning. Train staff and students in the use and care of hearing assistive devices. Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate on transition planning as needed.
