Job Description

Board Certified Behavior Analyst -School Consultant Job Description Coosa Behavioral Services, LLC is currently hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) position for our company located in Gadsden, Alabama. This position is for a school consultant that will provide services for local school districts that have contractual relationships with Coosa Behavioral Services. Coosa Behavioral Services provides school consultation, training, supervision, classroom development and management as well as a multitude of other services to school districts in and around Etowah County, Alabama. The BCBA and consultant staff work closely with teachers, administrators and mental health coordinators to ensure comprehensive and quality services are provided to all students. Experience working in school based services is preferred. Pay is determined by experience and specializations. Often increased after time with company. Negotiations can occur during interview. Part time and Full time availability considered.
Responsibilities:
Complete functional behavior assessment, develop appropriate behavior intervention plans or skill acquisition programming. Provide training and supervision for developed intervention plans. This includes appropriate program monitoring, meetings and integrity checks with school staff. Utilize multiple modalities of assessment tools for adequate and appropriate intervention for students. Ability to work closely with multiple other service providers and administrators. Time management and ability to meet appropriate deadlines for plans or assessments. Basic knowledge and understanding of IEP, 504, IDEA and FAPE in regards to our role in providing students. Continuing education and training to be fluent in these laws and obligations. Scheduling and attending IEP or parent meetings to review progress, make changes or decisions for programming. Possible supervision of school based RBT's for ethically obligated time (5% of behavior analytic tasks) Monthly meeting with team BCBA's to manage cases and reflect on treatment integrity and any other staff related concerns. Arriving to scheduled appointment times on time, accounting for drive time. Meeting determined service hours based off IEP and making recommendations on any changes related to service hours. Accurate time sheet documentation and notes regarding services provided per school requirements.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or other field deemed appropriate per Behavior Analyst Certification Board Board Certification from Behavior Analyst Certification Board Licensed as a Behavior Analyst in the state of Alabama. Experience in a variety of school settings, with ability to be flexible on program planning and implementation based on environment, staffing and necessity. Professionalism in all environments, personable and engaging with other staff and clients. Conflict resolution and advocacy for behavior analytic principles are necessary. Experience in supervision of direct therapy staff, parents, teachers, etc.

As the first ABA clinic in within almost 40 miles of Etowah County, Coosa Behavioral Services provides an essential resource for the local community. Outside of the clinical setting, Coosa Behavioral Services has established strong collaborative partnerships, ongoing support and valuable ABA resources in the several local school districts. The relationships have postiviely impaced educators and helped reshape the perception and implementation of ABA within our community. Our team prides itself in positive work ethic, passion, rapport building and effective provision of services.
