Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Behavioral Therapist, where your passion for helping others and expertise in behavioral health will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement evidence-based interventions, support daily living skills, and collaborate with families and care teams to foster growth and independence. Your dedication will empower clients to reach their full potential through compassionate, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behaviors and skill development. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, toileting, and other essential self-care tasks. Collect, analyze, and document data on client progress to inform treatment plans and ensure effective intervention strategies. Develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs, goals, and abilities. Collaborate closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and provide training on behavior management strategies. Maintain accurate medical records, documentation, and compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Support clients in educational settings by applying special education principles and teaching functional skills that enhance independence. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of behavioral therapy methods, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation standards, and medical records management is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to collect data systematically and utilize it to adjust treatment approaches effectively. Experience assisting with ADLs and implementing behavior management techniques in various settings is desirable.
