The RBT will work directly with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is essential in providing support to children and their families, fostering positive behavioral changes, and enhancing the quality of life for those we serve. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA. Collect and record data on client behaviors to monitor progress and effectiveness of interventions. Assist in the development of care plans tailored to each child's unique needs. Educate clients and their families about strategies to encourage positive behavior changes at home and in other settings. Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care. Provide patient care and support during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in applied behavior analysis. Skills Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or developmental disorders. Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques. Ability to assist in research data collection related to behavioral interventions. Familiarity with maintaining medical records and documentation practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others improve their lives through behavioral support. Ability to educate clients on care plans and behavioral strategies effectively.
