50 Per Hour Length of Work Year 199 Days Employment Type Full Time Location Shingle Springs School Year 2026-2027 Start Date July 29, 2026 Job Summary Job Summary Behavior Technicians play a vital role in supporting students' success at CMP. They provide direct behavioral interventions, coaching, and instructional support, helping students build positive skills and access their education. Working closely with teachers, specialists, and BCBAs, Behavior Technicians foster inclusive, safe, and engaging classrooms where every student can thrive.
Essential Functions Implementation of Strategies:
Assist therapists and specialists by implementing visual, behavioral, social, and communication strategies to enhance student performance and promote positive behavior. Administer special drills for assessment and reinforcement of learning.
Individual and Group Support:
Provide behavior intervention services to individual students with exceptional needs, typically in the classroom or small group settings.
Instructional Support:
Prepare and develop age-appropriate instructional aids and exercises to support behavior and academic instruction.
Collaboration:
Assist in collaboration with certificated and classified staff on behavior interventions for students.
Behavior Management:
Under the guidance of a BCBA, develop and/or use positive behavior intervention strategies and reinforcement. Supervise children constantly, assess the need for, and apply, appropriate positive behavior support according to grade and/or developmental level.
Data Collection:
Assist BCBAs with data collection for assessments and progress monitoring.
Classroom Monitoring:
Monitor classroom activities observe and redirect student behavior according to established procedures, and reinforce behavior modification techniques as directed by the behavior plan and/or BCBA.
Documentation and Reporting:
Document student behavior progress using the individualized education plan as a guide. Record information to support further evaluations and report occurrences to behavior analyst.
File and Record Maintenance:
