BCBA•Downey Description PALS, Inc. is hiring a full-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and who may also have a history of trauma and severe behavioral challenges, at our Downey program. We're seeking a compassionate and skilled clinician committed to trauma-informed, person-centered care. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while working in a collaborative and supportive environment. You will be based out of our Downey office and will provide support to persons in our El Monte and Downey offices. Some work may be performed remotely. Some driving required.
What You'll Do:
Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) Create and oversee individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) Train and support direct support staff and caregivers Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (e.g., case managers, nurses, therapists) Monitor data and outcomes, modifying interventions as needed Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards.
What We're Looking For:
Active BCBA certification Master's degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field At least 2 years of experience with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities Experience supporting individuals with trauma preferred Strong clinical and communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Skills Writing ability is a critical skill as you will be gathering functional assessment, client notes and behavior tracking logs to create individualized service plans. Your plans will be submitted to the Regional Center. Must have strong ability to work as part of a team. Notes
