Job Description

Hummingbirds Behavioral Therapy LLC is dedicated to helping individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum and other developmental disabilities through the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and strategies. We are looking to hire staff members that are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others and their families. We provide personalized behavioral programs for their individual challenges, enabling them to enhance their quality of life in the areas of communication, social skills, self-help and others. Our agency focuses on clinical teamwork in conjunction with parent participation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Child Development Education or relevant field Valid California driver's license and car insurance is required for driving to the homes of the families you will serve.

Establish & maintain therapeutic relationship by pairing self as a reinforcing entity Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills Fades prompts appropriately to promote both successful and independent responding Increases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations) Accurately collect behavior data including: A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, and interval based recording Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation Collaborates with family and treatment team to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment Write clinic notes each session Attend clinic meetings/trainings as directed by the Clinical Team Conduct weekly debriefs with Clinical Supervisor on each case Follow ethical standards regarding behavioral modification Maintain telephone contact and a reliable method to record scheduled appointments and return phone calls and emails within 24 hours. Maintain reliable transportation and current liability insurance for the vehicle. Stand, sit, twist, kneel, bend-over, crouch down, walk, & sit/play on the floor for extended periods of time as well as lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs. without assistance from another adult
