First Aid, CPR and CPI Training Growth Opportunity Job Duties:
  • Supervision, protection and care for all individuals at all times.
  • Implement resident treatment plans
  • Collect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individual's treatment plan
  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in facility, and community-based environments
  • Provide ongoing written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times
  • Assume lead behavior technician responsibilities in their absence
  • Assist lead behavior technician, behavior analyst, and ABA skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments.
  • Follow the prescribed behavior skill acquisition and behavior protocols reduction
  • Assistance to each individual working with a group and in handling individual problems.
  • Administration of discipline (as defined as positive redirection) and setting of limits for behavior.
  • Maintain Continuing Education Training's (CEU's)
  • Responsible for the assigned physical plant and operations.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the program plan for each resident.
  • Understand and implement exercises designed to improve or maintain, mobility range of motion and self-help skills.
  • Document incidents that occur and communicate with Administrator regarding situation.
  • Implement treatment plan for each resident.
  • Maintain current progress notes and data frequency counts for target behaviors on each client assigned to them.
  • Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings.
  • Assist residents in all areas of grooming and personal hygiene skills.
  • Perform basic incidental medical treatment as prescribed by medical professional
  • Ensure open lines of communication with all employees.
  • Assist in supervision of meal preparation and housekeeping chores as assigned.
  • Have the ability to exercise mature judgment and relate to residents in a warm, caring, and non-expletive means.
  • Ensure that the facility is maintained in clean, safe, and home like manner.
  • Participate in resident's recreation activities.
  • Other duties as specified by Facility Manager/ Administrator Qualifications, knowledge and experience requirements:
  • Six months' prior experience with individuals with developmental disabilities who have challenging behavior service needs.
  • Must have completed DSP Year 1&2 training course and certification prior to working in the home with individuals.
  • Must be certified RBT through BACB
  • Staff shall successfully complete both segments of the competency-based training and passage of the Competency test, or pass the challenge test, prior to or within one year of employment at the Community Crisis Home.
  • Must maintain current certification in First Aid, CPR and CPI.
  • Must possess and present current criminal record clearance (Live Scan).
  • Must have experience with residents with a dual diagnosis within context of the Mental Health Court, Juvenile Court, and/or probation Department.
  • Must have a health screening as specified in Section 80065(g).
  • Must have tuberculosis test documents as specified in Section 80065(g).
  • Has and maintains a clean, well-groomed appearance.
  • Possesses a genuine interest in and concern for the children and/or intellectual disabled persons.
  • Demonstrates a willingness and ability to comply with directions from direct supervisor.
