Job Description

Category Schools - ABA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a contract ABA Paraprofessional. Contribute your expertise to a collaborative school environment near the vibrant city of Long Beach, CA, where you'll support children in reaching their full potential every day.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Recent experience as a Paraprofessional, particularly in educational or ABA settings Solid understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies and principles Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and implement strategies under BCBA or teacher guidance Excellent interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with diverse student needs High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework or relevant certifications preferred Patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude in classroom and one-on-one support situations
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers and behavior specialists in executing ABA programs tailored to individual student goals Support students with academic tasks, social skill-building, and daily routines both in and out of the classroom Document daily observations, track progress, and report student achievements or behavioral challenges Foster a positive, inclusive environment where all students feel supported, safe, and encouraged Collaborate closely with faculty and therapy teams to adapt instructional materials and approaches as needed Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of student care This contract position offers the chance to make a direct difference in student outcomes while gaining valuable experience in a school-based ABA support role.
