  • Part-time Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our school team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral therapy and experience working with children, particularly those with autism and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities Implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to support clients in achieving their goals. Work closely with children to teach essential skills and promote independence. Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety. Collect and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment plans. Collaborate with families and other professionals to develop effective care plans. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and progress notes, in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide behavioral health support and manage challenging behaviors through effective strategies. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in special education and patient care. Skills Proficient in behavioral therapy techniques, particularly applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with children, especially those on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities. Strong understanding of assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promoting independence. Knowledge of data collection methods for tracking client progress. Familiarity with special education principles and practices. Excellent teaching skills to effectively convey concepts to clients. Understanding of medical terminology, documentation, and record keeping related to patient care. Ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs. Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients, families, and team members. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
