The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied behavior analysis and experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing behavioral therapy to improve the quality of life for our clients. The BCBA will collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure effective implementation of strategies that promote positive behavioral changes. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify behavioral challenges and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, focusing on applied behavior analysis. Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Provide training and support to families, caregivers, and staff on behavior management strategies. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients with disabilities. Participate in intake processes for new clients, gathering relevant information to inform treatment planning. Stay current with best practices in behavioral health and special education. Skills Proficiency in applied behavior analysis techniques and methodologies. Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental disabilities. Strong skills in data collection and analysis for monitoring client progress. Knowledge of special education principles and practices. Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, and record-keeping standards. Ability to conduct patient assessments effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and team members. Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient care and confidentiality. Compassionate approach towards working with individuals with disabilities.
