Length of Work Year 190 duty days Employment Type Full Time About the Employer The Chawanakee Unified School District is located in eastern Madera County and spans approximately 867 square miles, extending from the foothills just 15 minutes from Woodward Park and near Madera Ranchos to the Sierra National Forest. Chawanakee Unified serves students in transitional kindergarten (TK) through 12th grade. The district operates seven schools and provides a comprehensive range of college and career readiness opportunities designed to support student success. Job Summary Job Summary This position provides continuous support to the overall educational environment by utilizing effective behavioral strategies to address student behaviors. Provide ongoing behavior intervention strategies for all students in all aspects of the educational environment. The Behavior Specialist will also work directly with administrators to provide outlets and avenues for students to communicate with staff in the building, to empower students and develop skills in leadership and building healthy relationships.

Monday-Friday; 7.5 hours/day; 7:45am-3:15pm View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Master's degree with a major in psychology or a related field. Valid Board certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) professional certificate. Minimum experience three (3) years or the equivalent as a Behavior Specialist preferred. Valid California Credential authorizing services in School Psychology or Pupil Personnel Services (PPS). Valid CA Driver's license. Upon hire must have clear fingerprint scan and submit proof of negative TB. Copy of Transcript CPR/First Aid Certification Credential Copy Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Reference (must be written within the last 6 months) Resume Requirements / Qualifications Master's degree with a major in psychology or a related field.
