Job Description

Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school district in Oroville, CA is seeking a skilled Behavior Specialist to support students with behavioral challenges. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with educators and families in a collaborative school environment, helping to develop and implement behavior intervention plans that promote positive student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans. Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff to implement and monitor behavior strategies. Provide training and support for paraprofessionals and staff working directly with students. Collect and analyze data to assess progress and adjust interventions as needed. Facilitate communication between families, school personnel, and outside agencies to coordinate services.
Qualifications:
Experience as a Behavior Specialist in an educational setting. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavior intervention techniques. Previous roles as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Paraprofessional are highly valuable. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and in multidisciplinary teams.
