Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster positive behavioral changes through evidence-based interventions like applied behavior analysis (ABA). In this rewarding position, you will work closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to implement personalized care plans that promote growth, independence, and improved quality of life. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, to support independence. Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment strategies. Support teaching sessions by reinforcing skills across communication, socialization, and functional life skills in accordance with treatment goals. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical records securely. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to update care plans and ensure consistency in behavioral management techniques. Provide compassionate patient care while fostering a safe, supportive environment that encourages learning and growth. Requirements Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy or working with children with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and special education principles. Ability to work effectively with children and individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities in a compassionate manner. Strong data collection skills for tracking client progress accurately during sessions. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and maintaining detailed medical records. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families, team members, and other healthcare professionals. Must adhere to HIPAA guidelines ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
