The ideal candidate will collaborate with staff to implement behavior intervention plans, coach teachers on classroom management techniques, and directly support students with challenging behaviors.
Key Responsibilities:
Teacher Support:
Provide coaching on positive reinforcement, de-escalation strategies, and restorative practices. Help implement Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs). Conduct classroom observations and offer actionable feedback.
Student Support:
Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to meet behavioral goals. Collaborate with families and staff to ensure consistency in behavior plans. Support the development of self-regulation tools and coping strategies.
Professional Development:
Plan and deliver workshops on behavior management. Mentor teachers and provide resources for managing challenging behaviors.
Data and Evaluation:
Track and analyze behavior data to adjust interventions as needed. Document incidents and outcomes to measure the program\u2019s impact.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (required). Experience in behavior management or student intervention (preferred). Knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and de-escalation techniques. Strong collaboration, communication, and data analysis skills. Commitment to equity and culturally responsive practices.
