In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Responsibilities Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques based on individualized care plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and hygiene to promote independence. Support clients during therapy sessions by applying applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies to encourage skill development. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, behavior logs, and treatment records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with team members to develop and update care plans tailored to each client's needs. Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that promotes safety, engagement, and growth for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Requirements Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification prior to start date. Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially in behavioral health or special education settings. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods. Ability to assist clients with ADLs and implement behavior intervention strategies effectively. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and confidentiality standards such as HIPAA. Excellent teaching skills combined with patience and compassion for working with individuals with autism or other developmental challenges. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or coursework in behavioral therapy or related fields is preferred. Join us in making a difference!
