Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity working with elementary and middle school students in a collaborative educational setting. This contract role covers grades K-8, with your time spent between two nearby schools, ensuring convenience and variety in your daily routine. Serve a dynamic caseload of around 40 students, with 5-6 students per classroom, all supported by a strong team of Social Workers, Behavior Technicians (BTs/RBTs), and Special Education Teachers.
Ideal experience and qualifications:
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required Prior experience in school settings, especially K-8, is preferred Strong background in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) Demonstrated skill in supporting and training instructional staff, particularly BTs Excellent consultation and collaboration abilities Strong communication and organization skills Key responsibilities will include: Providing ongoing training and mentorship to Behavior Technicians, focusing on implementing effective intervention strategies Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and analyzing data to develop actionable plans Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Social Workers and Special Education Teachers Offering consultation and guidance to classroom staff regarding behavior supports and best practices Overseeing the behavioral programming in classrooms - BTs handle all 1:1 direct student support Ensuring students receive comprehensive care across both elementary and middle school age groups This role offers a chance to focus on impactful training and consultation, leveraging extensive support from your colleagues.
