Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a positive impact as a Behavior Technician working with students who benefit from expert support and compassion. This is a full-time, contract opportunity near Meriden, CT, working Monday through Friday from 8am to 3pm, averaging 31 hours each week. You'll play an integral role both in one-on-one and classroom settings, supporting students on the Autism Spectrum and those with behavioral challenges. Ideal candidates bring a strong background working in behavioral or special education settings, paired with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Experience as a paraprofessional is highly valued.
Qualifications:
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Minimum of 2 years' experience in behavioral or special education settings Ability to work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and support staff Skilled in providing both 1:1 support and classroom-based assistance Passion for helping students achieve their personal and academic goals
Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 behavioral interventions and tailored classroom support Implement behavior plans developed with BCBA or school staff Assist students in practicing social, communication, and adaptive skills Support transition and classroom routines, de-escalating challenging behaviors Accurately document student progress and interventions As part of this role, you'll enjoy competitive compensation ranging from $18 to $24 per hour, along with insurance and a 401k plan.
