Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting elementary and middle grades as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This rewarding contract opportunity involves working across two schools located just minutes apart, offering the chance to collaborate with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) Providing ongoing consultation to staff and teams Delivering impactful training to Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) Supporting classroom-wide behavioral strategies for K-5 and 6-8th grade students Collaborating closely with Social Workers (SWs), Special Education Teachers, and other support staff Overseeing a caseload of approximately 40 students, grouped in classrooms of 5-6 students each Ensuring effective behavior intervention plans are designed, implemented, and monitored Staying up-to-date with best practices in applied behavior analysis Ideal candidates will have: BCBA certification and relevant licensure in CT Demonstrated experience in school-based settings, preferably with elementary and middle school populations Strong expertise in Functional Behavioral Assessments, staff consultations, and team training Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude The ability to work between two close-proximity campuses Experience supporting special education programming a plus Enjoy working within a supportive educational environment where you will not be responsible for 1:1 student sessions—BTs handle all student-specific interventions.
